Founded in 2007, Blue Dasher Technologies draws on more than 30 years of work in the GIS and real estate industries. Previous companies founded by Blue Dasher principals have built GIS solutions for the oil and gas industry and state and local governments, including the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and the states of Louisiana and Florida.
Blue Dasher Technologies, is a leading creator and distributor of street level high-density, geo-coded 360-degree spherical digital imagery. The Company’s highly versatile images are applied to any location, navigation system, device or map-based application, including mobile devices. Unlike other approaches, when viewed online, the 360° images from Blue Dasher Technologies are seamless, creating an experience similar to driving down the street.
Management Team
President and Chief Executive Officer
Michael Reidbord has 35 years experience in product development, marketing, manufacturing, and supply chain management. He has held senior positions in the US and Europe, and led the expansion of manufacturing, channel, and customer relationships throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
In 2000 he co-founded a business that revolutionized the technical apparel industry, ramping within four years to $45 million in sales to businesses (including, BP, Continental Airlines, Securitas, and Well Fargo) and government agencies around the globe. Later, he oversaw all global manufacturing and operations for the leading supplier of technical garments to police, fire, and emergency response personnel in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Australia, and China, among other markets.
In addition to overseeing all aspects of Blue Dasher Technologies, Reidbord is focused on the development and delivery of the company’s solutions for navigation suppliers.
Chief Scientist and Co-Founder
Herman Miranda has been an innovator in the development and deployment of large-scale, real-time geographic information systems for business and industry for more than 20 years.
He founded Digital Matrix Services in 1985, serving as president, CEO, and Chief Software Architect, where he oversaw the development of the InfoCAD suite of software products. The company shipped more than 10,000 units to customers around the world serviced through a network of 25 resellers. In addition, it carried out multi-year software development engagements that leveraged the InfoCAD architecture for facilities management at the World Trade Center and at Los Alamos National Laboratory, and for an Emergency Management System for the State of Florida.
In 1999, he co-founded Largo Technology Group, building GIS solutions for private industry and state and local governments, including a graphical Land Lease Management system for the Port Authority of NY & NJ, emergency management applications for Los Alamos National Laboratory, an application for the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, and an application for the State of Florida's Department of Community Affairs in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew.
COO and Co-Founder
For the past 20 years Marcelo Fernandes has owned and managed companies involved in commercial real estate and international trade.
Active in both commercial and residential real estate, he has developed over 1,000 residential and commercial units in South Florida. He is also active in foreign trade with a particular focus on serving the healthcare market in Brazil, where his companies handle manufacturing and testing for leading pharmaceutical companies, including Roche Diagnostics.
Fernandes focuses on Blue Dasher's operations and financial controls, and their solutions for the residential and commercial real estate industries.
CTO
Telmo Sampaio has extensive experience in software development and deployment in North and South America and Europe. During a 17 year career that included positions at Microsoft and IBM, Sampaio developed decision support systems that incorporated GIS data for sales and distribution in the packaged goods industry and for real estate acquisition in the oil and gas industry.
He also managed consulting engagements with HP, Telefonica, and others, and has contributed to IT textbooks and certification exams.
Telmo is responsible for the development of data collection and data processing software and the deployment of Blue Dasher's solution to partner sites.
VP of Field Operations
Roberto Piccoli has more than 30 years of experience in domestic and international operations, logistics, quality control, and customer service in the airline industry. For Varig Airlines, Roberto was responsible for 1,000 employees at operations centers around the world and worked across international airlines coordinating Varig's participation in alliances. In addition, he was a Total Quality Control (TQC) systems instructor and coordinated TQC initiatives for the airline.
At Blue Dasher he is responsible for the deployment and management of the field staff and fleets of image capture vehicles, and he manages the company's quality control processes.
